On the Reasons,Origins and Related Principles of Using Li to Explain the Book of Songs

本文认为以礼说《诗》的因缘、源头在于《诗经》反映周礼的客观实际。《左传》可以证明以礼说《诗》的阐释实践早在孔子之前,孔子的言论不是以礼说《诗》的源头。以礼说《诗》应该遵循实事求是原则。

This paper proposes that the reasons and origins of using Li to explain the Book of Songs reflect the objective reality of Zhou Li. ZuoZhuan can prove the fact that Confucius is not the first one who uses Li to explain the Book of Songs, so Confucius＇s sayings are not the origins of using Li to explain the Book of Songs. Being practical and realistic is the principle of using Li to explain the Book of Songs.
