It was pointed that treat well the new building foundation adjacent old building was one important problem. Two simple and practical treating methods to foundation deformation joint of the masonry-concrete building in the new engineering were proposed, which were cantilever beam treating method and pile foundation treating method. The method of the specific engineering was introduced detailed so as to provide references for the similar engineering.
