The paper introduces the general situation of the irrigation area of Jingdian Ⅰ period, analyzes the necessity of saving-water and expending irrigation, and points out some concrete water-saving measurements, including the border irrigation, the furrow irrigation, the mulch irrigation, the anti-seepage and water-saving measurements in canal lining, the adjustment on the planting proportion, in order to expand and apply the advanced water-saving experience.
