摘要
目前,拥塞控制是Internet的一个研究热点。在网络通信中,仅仅靠端到端的TCP层基于滑动窗口的流量控制已很难满足网络中日益增长的业务量的要求,因此,网络本身必须采用某种手段参与拥塞控制。主动列队管理(AQM)作为目前路由器中广泛采用的拥塞控制策略,在保证较高吞吐量的基础上有效地控制队列的长度,让IP层参与了资源的分配控制工作。该文首先介绍了Internet中的TCP/IP拥塞控制策略,而后针对主动队列管理策略中的RED算法进行了详细的研究,最后提出了几种改进的RED算法。
Congestion control is a hotspot in the current research of Internet. In the network communication, End to End flow control of TCP can' t satisfy the increasing demand of business in the network, so the network itself should take part in the congestion avoidance and control, As a widely used strategy in congestion control, active queue management (AQM) can control the length of the queue in a certain range effectively to guarantee a preferable throughput and QoS, let IP layer take part in the distribution of resources in the network. In this paper, the principles of TCP/IP congestion control strategy are introduced firstly. Then, more studies be done to explore Random Early Detection(RED) algorithm in AQM strategy. At last, some improved RED Algorithms will be put forward.
