摘要
研究了一种基于旋转体扫描方案的体三维显示系统,利用数字微镜设备(DMD)作为空间光调制器,将三维场景经离散化后得到的一系列二维切片轮流投影到高速旋转的屏幕上,基于视觉暂留效应,按时序变换的二维切片图像可被人眼融合并感知为连续完整的三维图像。试制了原理样机,实现了三维图像以24 Hz的刷新频率在体积为Φ200 mm×100 mm的柱体空间内的显示,可以任意选择视点直接观看,验证了设计方案的可行性。
A volumetric display system using swept volume technique has been studied in this paper. Adopting digital micromirror device(DMD) as the space light modulator,we project a series of 2 D time-varying image slices of a 3 D model onto a rotatingscreen spinning at a sufficiently high speed,because of the persistence of vision, the viewer's visual system can perceive a 3 D volumetric image by fusing together the successive 2 D images into a 3 D whole. The prototype of the display has been trial produced,spatial object can be displayed with true three-dimension in a cylinder display space with a diameter of 200 mm and a height of 100 mm. it has a 24 Hz volume refresh rate and can be viewed from almost any angle, It is proved that the scheme is feasible.
