土汉接触与土家语高调的分化

Tujia-Chinese contact and the split of the high tone in Tujia

土家语语音研究中对于高平和高降两个声调的归并素有不同意见。本文从南北方言的对应出发,认为土家语原本只有一个高调,跟汉语的长期接触加速了声调的演变,土家语的高调逐渐分化成为高平和高降两个辨义的调位。

There are different opinions on the relationship between the high-level and the high-falling tones in the study of Tujia phonology. By examining the tonal correspondences of the cognates in northern and southern dialects, this paper argues that there was only one high tone in early Tujia. As a result of the constant and close contacts with Chinese, the high tone split into the high-level and the high-falling tones in different meaning expression.
