Interpretation of Chinese National Grand Theater

国家大剧院的设计和建造曾在国内外学术界及民众中引起广泛的争议和论辩,目前大剧院内外部工程已全部竣工并投入运营,该文作者走入大剧院,对其进行近距离接触,并试图从北京古城天际线、天安门广场城市设计、外部形体及内部空间等角度对其进行初步地审视和解读。

There have been tons of arguments about the design and construction of Chinese National Grand Theater in both academic circle and general populace ever since the beginning. At present, the theater has been completed and opened to public, the author walked into it, experienced it in close distance, and interpreted it from such aspects as the skyline of ancient Beijing City, urban planning of Tian＇anmen Square, external shape and interior space.
