Nineteenth-Century English Revival Styles

维多利亚时代是资产阶级处于上升的时期,英国成为"日不落"的帝固,奢糜之风盛行。加上商业化的生产方式,使这种复古主义并不十分严格遵循古典的风格,表现为一种实用主义的折衷设计,并没有表现出良好的品味,不过显示出精神的贫乏,只关注个人的兴趣而已。

Victorian era was the upward time for English bourgeoisie class; England being the sun never fall Empire, during which period, extravagant trend was predominated over together with commercial mode resulting in this revival style not following the classical style strictly. The revival style in this time was viewed as eclecticism design which had not good taste, but with poor spirit only focusing personal interesting.
