摘要
Silver coins were defined as metage money in China, which normally produced by general publics, and eventually formed in varied shapes.Based on classification and authentication of the Northern Song ingots, the paper came to a clear picture of the characters of Northern Song ingots.Furthermore, the inscriptions on these ingots offered us more cultural information, rather then coin itself.
