The reverse manufacturing process of a die-casting die for the main part of RUS was presented. The principle and effect of reverse engineering technique in the manufacturing process of dies were discussed. A special system for the design and manufacture of dies and moulds can be established by applying the technique, the development circle can be shortened and the product quality be upgraded.
