摘要
影视字幕的形式和文本制约使字幕翻译有别于普通文学、科技翻译,在限制译者的同时也为其提供了更大的再创造空间。强调读者和文本中心地位的接受理论对字幕译者主观能动性的张弛有一定的解释力。字幕译者应时刻注意把握观众的期待视野,而不能以字幕的限制性为由随意扩大自身张力。
Screen translation differs from literature and science translation due to its formal and textual constraints, which both limit the subtitler and offer him more room for recreation. Reception theory, focusing on the position of readers and text, provides explanation for the subtitler's initiative in subtitling. The subtilter must pay close attention to the viewer's expectation horizon rather than expand his initiative casually on the excuse of the constraints of subtitles.
