当代西方马克思主义者针对企业规模的变迁,在坚持马克思企业规模理论基础上,提出企业规模的变化要适应新经济发展与经济全球化需求,体现规模经济性、多样性、民族性、虚拟性等特色,这体现其理论当代创新性一面。此外,在对新自由主义的批评与对未来社会的设想中,西方马克思主义者也指出了企业规模变迁与政府政策的博弈关系及企业规模发展的多种可能趋向。

Specific to the change in firm scale, contemporary Western Marxists raised the conception that the scale of the firm should meet the demand of recent economic development and economic globalization, which reveals the side of contemporary innovation. Besides discarding neo-classical school and assumption for the future, Western Marxists also point the relation between firm scale change and government policy with multi trends of firm scale development.
