Melamine,prepared by urea as raw material,is an important nitrogen heterocyclic ring organic chemical industrial intermediate and is widely applied in the industries such as woodworking, plastic, coating, water reducer, papermaking, adhesive, textile ,leather, electric appliance, medicine and fire retardant. After 50 years development, China has became the biggest melamine production base and export country in the world. And domestic melamine production is also in a dominant position in the world market. The production status, application fields, market analysis and other aspects were briefly introduced in this paper.
