Estimated equations of basal metabolic rate in Chinese healthy adults

目的对常用的基础代谢率(BMR)估算公式应用于中国健康成人的效果进行评价,寻找适用于我国健康成年人群的BMR估算公式。方法收集国内成年人群的BMR实测数据,进行分析,并与公式估算值进行比较。结果除Liu公式和Owen公式外,H-B公式、Henry公式、Schofield公式和Shizgal-Rosa公式的BMR估算值与实测值的平均误差均<5%,相关分析表明这些公式的BMR估算值与实测值正相关,BMR估算误差与年龄、体质量和身高无关。结论Liu公式和Owen公式的BMR估算值与实测值差别较大,不适合我国健康成人,Henry公式、Schofield公式和Shizgal-Rosa公式的估算效果较好,但综合来看,Schofield公式更适合于估算我国健康成人的基础代谢率。

Objective To evaluate the effect of basal metabolic rate （BMR） estimated equations now commonly applied in Chinese healthy adults and find the better one. Methods The BMR data measured in Chinese healthy adults were collected for analysis. The measured BMR data were compared with the estimated values of commonly used equations. Results The BMR estimated values of applied equations were positively correlated with the measure values, except for Liu equation and Owen equation. The BMR average bias of other equations were less than 5 % and the estimated bias were not correlated with the age, body weight and body height. Conclusions Some significant differences between the BMR estimated values and measured values are found for Liu-equation and Owen-equation, but not for other equations. Schofield equation is suitable for predicting BMR in Chinese healthy adults.
