The Sentimental Verbs Based on Figure-Ground Theory

图形—背景理论源于心理学,后由认知语言学家用来研究语言结构的意义。图形-背景分离原则虽然是空间组织的一个基本认知原则,但也可用来研究语言,因此也是语言组织概念内容的一个基本认知原则。从图形—背景理论的基本思想出发,基于英语语料,探讨积极、消极、中间情感使役动词,从而为这类动词的研究提供一个新的视角。

The principle of figure-ground segregation is one of the basic cognitive principles, it can be applied to language as well. Thus it becomes a basic cognitive principle in language concept organizations. Starting from the fundamental ideas of figure-ground theory and based on English corpora, this paper explores the positive sentimental verbs, negative sentimental verb and central sentimental verbs so as to provide a new perspective for the research in terms of this kind of verb.
