Brief Discussion on the Characteristics of Adult College Student English Learning and Strategies

英语是成人高等教育的必修课程之一。但与青少年相比,成人学生有着独特的身心发展特点和学习特征。笔者综合阐述了成人英语学习的特殊性并指出几点英语学习的策略,旨在促进成人英语教育的发展。

English is one of the compulsory courses in higher education for adults. Compared with adolescents , adult students have their unique characteristics of physical and psychological development and they also have special ways of studying. This paper analyzes the characteristics and the sources of difficulties in adult college student＇s English learning process. The author also put s forward countermeasures and strategies to help them study English effectively.
