Feminist international relations theory came into being at the late 1980s.With the shift of its concerns, feminist international relations theory went through two phases. In the first phase, feminist theory is focused on an exposition of gender based stories under- lying leading paradigms,a critique of the male domination of these paradigms, introducing women and women's issues into interna- tional relations discussions. In the second phase, feminist theory is led by a transition from a focus on femin'tzed international relations to that of gendered international relations, disputing with the leading paradigms on recognition of gender in international relations. Presently, feminist international relations theory begins to construct theory,an inevitable road for feminist international relations theory to grow to maturity.
