Natural gas transmisson and storage project is one of key links and infrastructures of whole natural gas industry. Underground natural gas storage is an important part of natural gas transmission and storage project. This peper discusses basic role of underground natural gas storage and examines development history and future development trend of the World's underground natural gas storage.
