马修·阿诺德:一位有机知识分子的政治见解
摘要
马修·阿诺德不仅自诩为维多利亚时代的智识提供者,而且毕生致力于把一个心胸狭隘、不具亲和力、不具吸引力的中产阶级改造为一个有文化、思想自由、心灵崇高、洗心革面的中产阶级,以便居于支配地位的中产阶级能够获取与保持霸权——一种折中平衡。所以,主张"世界上的最佳思想与言论"的马修.阿诺德不仅仅是一位精英主义文化思想的颂扬者与维护者,更是一位葛兰西意义上的有机知识分子。
