Populism and the Civilian Literature in Modern China

"五四"时期,俄国民粹主义在中国知识分子中广为流行,产生了一股"到民间去"的道德冲动,在文学理论的倡导和创作上形成了一股平民主义风潮。

During the May 4th Movement, the Russian Populism was widely prevailing among the Chinese intellectual circle, giving rise to the outburst of the moral impulsion of ＂diving into the populace＂. Reflected in literature, there was a trend of civilianism in the initiation and creation of literary theories.
