A new level in international studies:theory and practice of interregionalism

摘要区域间主义是指不同国际区域或次区域之间制度化的关系。它是国家和区域组织等行为体对全球化和区域化的一种积极反应,其主要功能包括权力平衡、认同强化、制度建设、利益共享等。区域间主义实践既有综合性、多元性、开放性、多轨性等共性,也有由"欧盟模式"、"东盟模式"、"美国模式"和"中国模式"等表现出的个性。理论与实证结合的综合研究将是区域间主义研究的基本方向。 Interregionalism refers to institutionalized relations among international regions or sub-regions.As a positive respond to global and regional challenges,interregionalism has some important regional and global functions including power balancing,identity-strengthening,institution-building,and interest-sharing.The practice of interregionalism reflects not only some common characteristics such as comprehensiveness,plurality,openness,and multi-track,but also some important individuality as EU Model,ASEAN Model,US Model,and China Model.The comprehensive research combining theories and practices should become an important direction for future interregional studies.
