Establishment of a computer network for monitoring nosocomial infections

目的建立与医院信息系统连接的医院感染网络监测信息系统，实现医院感染预警、预报和实时监测的网络化管理。方法把医院感染管理的要求和疾病诊疗的临床思维与计算机网络技术相结合，研究开发医院感染网络监测信息系统。结果系统实现了对在院患者的实时监测，自动筛查医院感染高危、可疑病例，可提示专职人员进行前瞻性和目标性监测，具有查询、统计和分析功能，对医院感染病例、环境卫生学指标及抗菌药物合理应用等项目形成全面的监测报表。结论借助医院感染网络监测系统能快速而全面地进行医院感染病例的调查和干预。

Objective To establish an information network for monitoring nosocomial infections connected to Hospital Information System （HIS）, and implement network management in vigilance, prediction and real time monitoring of nosocomial infections. Methods By integrating the requirements of management of nosocomial infections and clinical thinking about treatment of diseases with computer technology, an information system for monitoring nosocomial infections was studied and developed. Results The system in the study achieved real time monitoring over hospitalized patients and automatic screening of hlgh-risk factors of nosocomial infections and suspected patients. The system was capable of reminding staff of prospective and targeted monitoring, providing information and statistic analysis, and producing overall reports on cases of nosocomial infections, indexes of environmental hygiene and justified use of antibiotics. Conclusion This monitoring network for management of nosocomial infections can provide rapid and overall survey of nosocomial infections and intervention strategies
