Effect of Sulfur Content in Diesel Fuel on Engine Performance

摘要 为制订与我国第四阶段排放法规相适应的车用柴油标准,进行了在满足欧-Ⅳ排放法规的高压共轨增压中冷柴油机上使用不同硫含量柴油的试验研究,并根据文献调研和试验结果预测了硫含量对柴油机一次、二次硫酸盐排放量的影响。结果表明:柴油机硫酸盐和气态SO2排放量均随硫含量上升而线性增加,硫含量500μg/g柴油ESC循环硫酸盐排放量占欧-Ⅳ法规PM限值的40%;硫至硫酸盐转化率为1%~2%;硫含量对柴油机动力性、经济性、非硫排放物和缸内燃烧过程基本无影响。 In order to establish automotive diesel oil standard which can be adapted to China-Ⅳ stage emission standard, engine performance test was performed on a high common rail pressure, turbocharged intercooling diesel engine, which could reach Euro-Ⅳ emission standard, by using the diesel oil with different sulfur content, and the effect of sulfur content on the first and secondary sulfate PM emissions was predicted by the experimental results and literature search. Engine test results show that the sulfate in PM, gaseous SO2 increase linearly with increase of sulfur content, during ESC test cycle, the sulfate emission of diesel oil with 500 μg sulfur/g is 40 % of Euro-Ⅳ PM limit; the conversion rate from S to sulfate is about 1%-2 %, and sulfur content has no significant effect on power, fuel consumption, non-sulfur emissions and in-cylinder combustion process of diesel engine.
