The performance requirement and technology indexes of coating system applied to steel concrete structure were introduced. Seven types of typical coating accessory systems were summarized. Their performance characteristics, service lives and corrosive conditions were introduced. The practice of anticorrosive coating for concrete bridge structure was discussed. The prospects for the development trend of surface coating materials for concrete structure, such as highperformance, non-solvent and waterborne coating systems, were predicted.
