Contemporary Value of Architectural Regionalism Studies

地域性是建筑的本质属性,但并没有成为建筑设计过程中关注的基本问题。结合社会发展历程,理清建筑地域性认知的各个阶段,指出其从自发到自觉,再到自省的过程。区别传统与现代,广义与狭义地域性。在此基础上,对民居、乡土、建筑的民族性等概念做出分析,反思建筑地域性研究在当前的意义。

Though Regionalism is an essential attribute of architecture, it has not been noticed as the basic issue in the course of architectural design. On the background of social development, people＇s cognition of architectural regionalism has experienced different stages from spontaneity to consciousness and further to introspection. Based on broad sense and narrow sense ofregionalism, the analysis and rethinking of the concepts on folk house, locality and nationality of architecture shows us the significance of regionalism researches.
