Before and after the liberation, the unique socio -economic patterns in Xishuangbanna resulted in a special social and historical change. This paper seeks to clarify the socio -economic patterns and the related issues of democratic reform, hoping to help people to be familiar with and to analyzes this great transformation in the history of society.
