This paper introduces how to measure the delay of linear devices and modulators via an oscilloscope. Based on a large number of experiments and analysis, the various reasons with effect on oscilloscope measurement accuracy are found and how to improve linear devices test accuracy is proposed. The challenges in accuracy delay test between modulating end and output end of BPSK modulator are resolved, and the uncertainty analysis of the delay test results obtained by oscilloscope is provided.
