The sulfur variations and distributions in crude oils of Jinan Petrochemical Company/SINOPEC are described. The conversion laws of sulfides in the crude oil in the process of atmospheric and vacuum distillation are studied and corrosion mechanisms and corrosion forms are discussed. The corresponding corrosion protection measures are proposed based upon the corrosion monitoring and corrosion inhibitors evaluation.
