ISO9000 is a quality assurance system based on international advanced quality control concept and experience of well-known enterprises from production practice. The importance and necessity of implementing ISO9000 in Chinese enterprises were dealt with. And the implementation of ISO9000 in IC enterprises in China was discussed in particular, with respect to targets and conditions for implementation. Finally, it is concluded that the implementation of ISO9000 is the only way to healthy and sustainable development of modem enterprises, including IC enterprises.
