摘要
完型填空作为大学英语四级考试中测试学生语言综合素质的题型,其设计应当体现语言作为意义潜势系统的规律性和多样性,实现并增强测试的科学性,减少删词和选项的任意性。韩礼德所提出的元功能思想为完型填空测试提供了理论依据和指导,有助于还原和模拟真实语境下的语言使用机制,并从整体上把握测试的效度。对2006年6月大学英语四级考试实施新题型以来四套试卷中的完型填空题进行分析,可以说明元功能思想在完型填空题中的命题意义和依据。
Cloze test as the part to test the comprehensive language competence of testees in CET - 4 should realize the regularity and variability of language as meaning potentials so that the test can be more valid and the deletion as well as choices should be less random, The Hallidayan framework of metafunctions contributes to the simulation of language mechanism in use with theoretical guidance and the validity of the test can be enhanced. By means of the analysis of the four doze tests of the new type of CET - 4 since June, 2006 the significance of the metafunctions in doze test can be manifested.
