On Wudang Taoism Honesty Ethics

"诚信"本是儒家伦理思想的重要概念与核心范畴,武当道教继承发展了早期道教和儒家的"诚信"伦理思想,不但在道经中大力宣扬诚信受赏、欺诈遭罚的教义,而且在宫观建筑、匾额楹联等武当文化中对之也多有体现,武当清微道派更是把"正心诚意"作为行雷法的根本。武当道教诚信伦理思想,还体现在历代信徒香客将武当山称为"灵山"这一点上。

Honesty is originally the important conception and core category of Confucian ethics. Wudang Taoism followed and developed early Taoism and Confucianism＇s honesty ethics, not only in Taoist scriptures advocated the doctrine that honesty would be praised and fraud would be punished, but also expressed the doctrine in halls and palaces, steles and couplets. In addition, Wudang Taoism of Qingwei School has set Honesty as the basics of its doctrine. Wudang Taoism honesty ethics is also demonstrated by that the followers regard Wudang Mountains as Spiritual Being Mountains for all generations.
