摘要
描述理论和因果理论是关于单称词项指称机制的两种竞争理论,本文通过考察对克里普克式因果指称理论的批评,讨论了对指称的因果理论进行修正的戴维特策略和埃文斯策略。在此基础之上,本文基于名称的使用实践给出了确定名称指称的基础语义学论题,认为遵守规则是该论题中的核心要素。
This paper discusses the main difficulties faced by Kripke＇s causal theory of reference. Then the paper compares two revisions of causal theory, i. e, Devitt＇s theory of chain of designation and Evans＂ hybird theory. Through the inquiry of these revisions the paper provides a theory of reference-fixing based on rule-following.
