The interpretive turn of philosophy has deeply influenced psychology, ＂ understanding＂ and ＂ interpretation＂ has be come important dimensions in psychological research. The interpretive turn of psychology has its profound theoretical background and philosophical origin,as well as its realistic foundation. Now there appear three shifts in the research of psychology, that is, from essentialism to constructivism, from method centered to problem centered, from value free to value laden. The interpretive turn gives rise to the methodological transformation. The interpretive turn of psychology would help in efforts to overcome dilemmas in mainstream psychology.
