摘要
用1949～1996年共48年的台风和近10年的台风灾害资料，对登陆广东的热带气旋及灾害特点进行了分析研究，认为广东热带气旋的主要特点是：登陆粤西地段的热带气旋最多，其次为珠江口地段，粤东最少；登陆珠江口、粤西的热带气旋个数平均在8月份最多，而登陆粤东热带气旋个数的峰值在7月和9月；前期（5～6月）热带气旋登陆引起的水灾较重，风灾较轻，中后期（7～11月）热带气旋登陆带来的水灾和风灾均较严重；灾害损失与热带气旋强度有关，特强台风带来的损失巨大．
Tropic cyclones and their disasters in Guangdong for past 48 years (1949 ～1996) arestudied. The following characteristics have been found:(1) The number of cases landing on the west coast of Guangdong was the most and came next inthe mouth of Pearl River region.The number in the east coast of Guangdong was the least.(2) The high frequency of tropical cyclones in the west coast and in the mouth of Pearl River ap peared in Augest but the peak in the east coast was in July and September.(3) Trpical cyclones in Guangdong often caused heavy flood in early summer while they causedboth heavy flood and strong wind disaster in later summer and autumn.(4)The loss was directly proportional to the strength of tropical cyclones and strong typhoonsbrought great damage
