摘要
本文基于对中国学习者语料库高中生(ST2)和英语专业本科高年级(ST6)两个子语料中词类失误的观察和分析,发现:(1)中国学习者词类失误绝大部分发生在实义词上,并且主要源自汉语词类标记性特征的迁移;(2)词类失误的数量并不是学习者水平的标志,而是受到写作任务复杂程度的影响;(3)高水平学习者功能词词类失误显著少于低水平学习者,说明这些失误是发展性的。最后本文提出本研究结论对课堂词汇教学的几点启示。
Based on observations and analyses of two branch corpora, ST2 and ST6, from the Chinese Learner English Corpus, this paper comes to the conclusions that ( 1 ) the majority of the errors in parts of speech occur in lexical words, largely resuiting from transfer of the markedness features of Chinese ; ( 2 ) the number of errors does not necessarily reflect learner' s proficiency levels, because they are affected by written task complexity ; and ( 3 ) high level learners committed noticeably fewer errors in functional words, for these errors are developmental in nature. The paper finally concludes with implications for vocabulary, instruction.
