摘要
面对北京传统四合院改造的死结,我们提出了“城市起搏器”的概念一一即将散乱在四合院街区中的大小不一的废旧工厂改造成为底部未商业、社区服务空间,中部为办公商业空间,上部为院落住宅,三位一体的社区中心。这样,生活在周边拥挤的传统院落中的部分居民可以就近迁住在由工厂改造而成的院落住宅中,以缓解四合院中人口过密的压力,从而为四合院良性的改造更新提供了可能。
Facing with the dead knot of Beijing' s Courtyard House renovation, we proposed the concept of "Urban Incubator" : converting the lower levels of old industrial buildings in the courtyard house neighborhood into commercial spaces and public services, the middle levels into office spaces and the upper levels into residences with vertical courtyards - finally a community center. In this way, residents who live in the overcrowded traditional courtyard houses are can be re-located to the residences in the newly renovated industrial buildings. This reduces the population density in courtyard houses and provides possibilities for a better renovation of courtyard houses.
