Next to the main building of the LSW electricity company of Wolfsburg and the Phaeno Science Centre of Zaha Hadid, the new LSW tower forms a landmark in the citycentre of Wolfsburg. The dominant structure of the citycentre is an axis which is crossing the whole city and gives orientation in the city. The prismatic tower turns with its upper levels in this urban space and arouses special interest. As a result, the tower is visible along the main axis from everywhere in the city not only because of its height. The building is dominant along the main axis because of its precise position in the urban concept and its special shape as well. The facade of the tower is completely made in glass. The tower appears as a crystal and transparent building in contrast to the massive Phaeno Science Centre next to it. The entrance level with its public areas for the customers of the LSW company is dominated by a hall on the backside of the tower, which is connecting the new LSW headquarter with the old building next to it. With a height of more than 50m the tower is the heighest building of Wolfsburg.
