High Oil Price and the Middle East in the New Century

新世纪以来,国际原油价格不断上涨,其基本原因在于世界剩余原油生产能力和主要产油区地缘政治局势紧张。上述两个原因都与中东地区的问题密切相关。为避免长期高油价引发世界经济衰退,国际社会应当积极行动起来,缓和中东地区的紧张局势,让该地区巨大的石油资源潜力转化为生产能力,扭转国际油价不断上涨势头。

The global oil price has been going up since entering the new century,which roots mainly in the spare oil throughput and the tense geopolitical situations in the major oil producing areas with both of which connected tightly with the issues of the Middle East.In order to avoid the possible global economic decline caused by the long-term high oil price,the international community should actively commit themselves to the relaxation of the Middle East situation so that the huge oil potential could be converted into real production and the growing oil price be reverted.
