An Analysis on Baochen Chen's Poetry Concerned about the People's Livelihood and the Sufferings of the People

"同光体"闽派重要诗人陈宝琛在他的《沧趣楼诗集》中留下不少关切民生,关心民瘼的诗篇。他的诗作,在内容方面体现了中国古典优秀诗歌关心人民疾苦,同情人民苦难,揭露批判邪恶势力的传统;另一方面,也展现出诗人在由清末向民初过渡的社会转型期,在遗老心态支配下的多元复杂的情感渊薮。诗作在艺术性方面取径宋诗,熔铸古今,以散为骈,平易中见奇崛,是一位在"同光体"闽派诗坛众多诗人中独标高格的扛鼎诗人。

Baochen Chen, an important poet in Tong Guang Ti of Min （ Fujian province） faction has written many poems concerned about the people＇s livelihood and the sufferings of the people in Cang Qu Lou Poetry. In the content, his poems have reflected the features of classical Chinese poetry of caring for the sufferings of the people and exposing and criticizing the traditional forces of evil. On the other hand, his poetry has also showed the multiple and complex emotion dominated by the former subjects＇mood in the period of social transition from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. In the artistic styles, his poems have gone through Song Poetry and integrated ancient and modern features. He has written poems in the form of prose and his poetry is outstanding in simplicity. He is an important and unique poet in Tong Guang Ti of Min （ Fujian province） faction.
