A Review on the Cultural Consonance Tread in the Early Years of the Republic of China

民国初年,由于受国际和国内形势及各种新兴社会思潮的影响,文化调和的论调一度兴起。文化调和论者强调文化的民族性及渐变的特性,极力反对全盘西化,他们的主张有其合理的一面,但也不宜评价过高。

In the early years of the Republic of China, owing to the infection of the position of the international and internal and all sorts of newly rising ethos, the view of the cultural consonance once rose. The man who protested cultural consonance insisted on the nationality and gradual change of the culture, utmost opposed wholesale westernization. There were some reasonable factors in their opinions, but we can not estimate their opinions exorbitant.
