摘要
对某大学非英语专业大学新生英语学习的六类策略使用频率的调查表明,他们在英语学习中所使用策略的频率依次为补偿策略、情感策略、认知策略、记忆策略、元认知策略、社会策略。对新生的英语学习现状进行了分析,认为对处于学习转型期的大学新生应加强学习策略的运用指导,特别要加强元认知策略与社会策略的教育,帮助他们快速适应大学英语学习方式和提高学习效率。
An investigation was conducted to non -English freshmen in a university on the frequencies of the use of six English learning strategies. Results indicated these strategies can be listed successively as follows: compensation,emotion, cognition, memory, meta - cognition and social strategies. Based on the investigation, factors which influence freshmen' s English learning were analyzed and some suggestions on improving teaching and learning were put forward in the paper.
