摘要
颜色的物理属性对各民族都是一样的,但不同语言对颜色的反应,特别是赋予的象征意义却不尽相同。"红"、"白"两种颜色分别是汉英两种文化各自的崇尚色。它们的象征意义有同有异。通过分析"红"、"白"颜色词象征意义的异同,探究出隐藏在颜色词背后的文化内涵,有助于更好地了解颜色词汇。
Colors exist in this world, and they share the same physical properties in different cultures. But their symbolic meanings in different languages are not always the same. ＂Red＂ and ＂white＂ are the main colors favored in both Chinese culture and English culture, and they have the same and different symbolic meanings in both cultures. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences of their symbolic meanings and explores some hidden cultural factors so that we can have a better understanding of color words.
