Time-out, as an important measure used by coaches present at the basketball game, has been valued more and more greatly. The striking effect will be produced in matches if time-outs are used reasonably and scientifically. This paper, adopting literature and logic analysis, deals with the principles, timing and points for attention of time-out respec- tively in order to draw high attention of basketball coaches to time-out and offer theoretical support for making the best use of time-out.
