Aiming at all kinds of problems in the speedy development of the modem cities, the paper indicates the layout requirement of the plant landscapes and existing problems and states that the plant landscaping in cities is a very good method to improve the urban environment by introducing the concept of the plant landscaping, its theories and characteristics in the landscaping design of modern cities.
