旅游英语教材应融入更多基本历史地理知识

Adding More Historical and Geographic Knowledge to Tourism English Course

旅游英语教材无疑要突出应用性,但这门课程非常需要基本历史地理知识的嵌入。在教学、教研过程中,笔者发现:相当一部分旅游英语教材不太重视历史地理等基本人文知识的融入、穿插;在穿插这些知识时,普遍忽视知识由浅入深的逐步渗入特征。要改变这种状况,在旅游英语的教材建设中,一方面是加大基本历史地理知识融入的分量,一方面是由浅入深地融入这些基本知识。

The course of TOURISM ENGLISH should concentrate on practicing character. At the same time, it should consist of enough historical and geographic knowledge. In the course of my teaching and studying, I find that the course of Tourism English neglects this issue. In addition, when this knowledge come in, its character, from easy knowledge to difficult ones, is neglected. In order to change the condition, when we reform the Tourism English, more and more historical and geographic knowledge should be added, according to its character, from easy to difficult.
