The calculations of short circuit current, contact voltage and step voltage when the Ling＇ ao nuclear power plant 500kV switchgear station occurs single--phase earthing short circuit are introduced. The necessary measures to reduce contact voltage and step voltage and insure the running personnel security are put forward.
