慈善工作与和谐社会建设

5·12汶川大地震是新中国成立以来破坏性最强、波及范围最大的一次地震。面对这场灾难,世界各地的人们都纷纷行动起来,以自己的力量和关怀方式为灾区的家园重建而努力。灾难固然不幸,但若不反思灾难,则是更为不幸,也是对逝者的不敬。故本刊特约中国伦理学界的几位学者就"5·12汶川:慈善救助与慈善伦理"这一话题展开探讨,以告慰大地震灾难中逝者的在天之灵,以宽慰情系灾区、身在灾区的人们,以期盼我们的家园平安、和谐、美好。

The May 12^th Wenchuan Earthquake is the most devastating earthquake hitting the widest area of China since the fouding of the People＇s Republic. People from different parts of the world have been making their efforts to support the restoration of the quake-hit areas. This disaster was a misfortune. yet it would be a greater misfortune and a disrespect for the deceased if no one ever made reflection on the disaster. In view of this, we invited several scholars in the field of ethics to discuss over the topic of May 12^th Wenchuan Earthquake： Charitable Relief and Charity Ethics as a sacrifice to the dead. a comfort to the victims, and a pray for a peaceful, harmonious and beautiful world.
