叶昌炽是清末民初著名的金石学家,其《语石》一书是金石学学科的概论性著作,被后世当作金石学入门的典范之作。在叶昌炽的金石交游圈中,以潘祖荫、缪荃孙、吴大澂对他的帮助和影响最大。
