Tunnel profile scan production with high accuracy and speed is very useful to the computation of tunnel over- break or deformation parameter in the tunnel construction, quality detection, or fast disasters recover test, etc. The Trimble S8 total station and Survey Controller software is tested in this paper with real tunnel profile scan jobs. The test result shows that the Trimble tunnel scan system can adapt to various tunnel projects,and is easy to use and can get high accuracy scan production with high speed.
