Application of Pro/E Advanced Solid Feature in the Modeling of Mechanical Parts

Pro/E在机械设计中得到了广泛的应用,但由于机械零件的复杂多样,使得有些零件的三维模型用基本特征难以实现,而采用高级实体特征则可以较方便的进行创建.通过对Pro/E中几种高级实体特征,即螺旋扫描特征、变截面扫描特征、扫描混成特征的特点分析,指出其各自的适用范围.并结合典型机械零件的三维建模实例,介绍了各种高级实体特征的创建方法,获得了相应机械零件的三维模型.

Pro/E is widely used in machine design, but 3D model of some parts is difficult to obtain because of their complicated shapes, and advanced solid features can make the modeling of complicated mechanical parts simplified. several advanced solid features in Pro/E, i. e, This paper points out the adaptive range of helical sweep feature, variable section sweep feature, and sweep blend feature, by analyzing their characteristics, then the method of creating these features is introduced through the examples of typical mechanical parts, and 3D model of typical mechanical parts is obtain.
